Oh, The Places We’ve Gone!
Interesting Shooting Locations Around the World
Coal mines, operating rooms, nuclear power and sewage treatment plants, boardrooms and factory floors….
We’ve spent time in all of them over the past 30 years in Wisconsin and most of the other 50 states. But we always have a special fondness for the longer road trips, the overseas excursions, so here’s a brief sampler of some of them.
Three guys and the Seine.

Neil Noah Sweden
Instead of shots of Swedish models and Saabs, I thought you’d rather see this photo of my son, Noah and me.
(He came along on this breast pump shoot and served as key grip and technology consultant.) (2006. Sweden.)
2006. New Zealand. What drudgery. Another day, another shoot. Oh dear, when will it ever end? (The person we were interviewing suggested shooting at this black sand beach just a few kilometers from where we were staying in New Zealand. Decent idea, don’t you think?)
2005 Lord Mayor Parade
We thought The Lord Mayor of London had heard we were coming to his town and wanted to welcome us properly, but it turns out he does this parade every year. (2005 November. London, England; Ballina and Dublin, Ireland; Copenhagen and Fredensborg, Denmark; Helsinborg, Sweden; Paris, France)
2003 Beaune Hopital
This 15th-century hospital for the poor and needy still sparkles today in the French sun. The fact that it’s in the heart of Burgundy made it a good place to take a break on our way to Germany to shoot a urinary incontinence video. (2003 May. Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria)
